We live in America, almost everyone anorexic, bulemic, or not, wants a flatter tummy.
Some people, sure, seeing the nearly dead people is the only way to get out, and you still hate yourself.
But not everyone is like that, some people really do get better.
And it's really easy to think one way, when you are raised by people who think that way.

Sometimes both, becuase wealth can be very sexy. Really it's only recently, like 70's at the earliest that skinny became big (in a fashion and style sense) If you watch all those shows with pictures from some time ago, the women were all very full figured, and very jaw droppingly beautiful. Okay, can't help it, Old quote from Amy Lee of Evanescence 'the girl with the junk in the trick gets to bunck with the hottest hunk." (yes I derailed for a minute, sorry) Neurotically Yours, Mercedes

would you say it's morbid for anorexics/bulimics to exchange advice on how to get skinnier? or how to binge? or how te resist food?

It's not morbid, it's sad. But it is just the nature of a person, once you decide and truly believe something as such a big part of your life, you want to help others like you. It's why Christians still have preachers and mass, they all already believe, but they want to share that common belief and aid. I'm not saying it's okay for that, but it's just a natural part of this.
But still as fdar as the sites go, You don't decide you wanna be a mass murderer after watching a scary movie, and you don't DECIDE to have a DISEASE which can KILL YOU after looking at a website.

hmmm... well after you put it that way, it made a lot of sense. but I still think the websites... well aren't maybe so much an aid, but they really ... help.

as I've said before, research has shown it doesn't make a damn difference as far as recovery, relapse, and whatnot with teh sites. There are just as many people who did use the sites who recover better than those who've never even heard of them.
And really, Anorexia is not like a tumor or cancer, in being able to measure different stages and levels, because there are none.
