So I've been thinkin, it is said that the ticket to Heaven is to believe in Jesus. But I know this person, he beleives in God and Jesus and everything. But he doesn't believe in Hell. He believes you reincarnate. (or however you spell it) Do you think that that is still "acceptable?"

Hm, this one's tricky.
I've never actualyl heard that train of thought before, so it's like with *gr can't rembmer which one* Buddists or Hindu's? One of them *can't remember which* believes that you just keep reincarnating until you reach a proper state of enlightenment. Which I think is definently an interesting train of thought.
See, just, when it comes to hell and reincarnation and what not, there is actually very little description of what hell is, and there's no discussion of reincarnation if I remember correctly.
Hm....
Okay, as far as your question I'm gonna have to draw a tie for me.
Otherwise discussion of hell, I think it's kindof like heaven in the sense that, Heaven is tailored to be a paradise for you, so hell would be the perfect torture for a person. So it might not be fire and brimstone for one person, but it might very well be for another.

Well, that's confusing. Does he believe in Heaven? Because..ok I like the YingYang theroy (one cannot be without the other, like good and evil) So..if be doesn't believe in Heaven or Hell then I guess he isn't a "Christian" maybe like me, his beliefs are similar but it does vary. (I think I'm closest to Wicca) And yeah, I think it's acceptable.
Now..if he does believe in Heaven but not Hell..then..uhm..*brain pops* I don't see how'd that would work

Christianity isn't based off of a balance. It's concrete that the ultimate good does have evil, but merely as another part of life. It was Good that created the universe, it is good that could destory it, it is good that defends it. The bad just keeps things interesting. It's not part of a balance, and it discounts any idea of a balance between good and evil, because evil is weak and momentary.
By that logic, you wouldn't NEED to have a hell, but, hell is far more subjective. Even if you don't believe in fire and brimstone, mabye a persons hell is having to go through life over and over again because they couldn't make it to heaven.

Yea.. he believes in Heaven. He believes in most Christian thoughts. He really doesn't have a religion. He just kind of flocks between all ideas. But... yea. I just don't really know what to think, I think if you believe in Jesus then you should be set. If you believed he died for your sins, that seems to be the main thing is having strong enough faith. But see, if you believe in Jesus, shouldn't you believe the Bible? Not believing in Hell seems to drift from that, even if the Bible doesn't give a very good description.

I do believe that believeing in and investing yourself in God is the saving factor, and that the bible is a good guidlines, but not necissarily perfect. It is the word of God in many parts but it is also majorly written by Man, and Man screws things up, that's why we're human.
But really, I mean, Hell is such a hazy idea, and I dunno, I mean, then with Good being so much better than evil, it seems like, believing in the good, and just not recognizing one of the evils, shouldn't send you to hell. I believe the only thing inexcusable is turning your back on God, and it not believing in hell, but still everything else, that does NOT seem like you're turning your back on God.

Yea. That makes a lot of sense. I think there are a bazillion different types of faith out there, and I mean if you believe in Jesus, you believe in God, you believe in Heaven, I think you should be recognized to be sent to Heaven. I think that makes sense when you said not recongnizing an evil shouldn't throw you to Hell. Cause... wow. I just never have thought about it like that. But really this is true about the Bible it has been changed over the course of it's first document, obviously. So I'm sure a lot of things were mis interpruted. I don't think God expects us to know exactly what to do, he just expects us to chose our faith wisely and have it strong enough that we can defend it. If he expected us to know exactly what to do, things in the Bible would be a lot clearer.
